Police Release Disturbing Video of Johnny Damon's DUI Arrest

The Windermere, Florida Police Department released revealing footage of former Major League Baseball star Johnny Damon’s DUI arrest in February.

The dashboard footage captured almost two hours of the drunken incident, including a bizarre back-and-forth between Damon’s wife Michelle and the responding officer, who exited the vehicle on the passenger side during the traffic stop to the dismay of the cop, and then proceeded to disobey orders.

What then occurred was a hostile sequence where the officer tried to subdue Damon in handcuffs, while a confused Damon tried to talk to an irate Michelle, who was refusing police commands.

At one point in the video, Damon says that he was targeted by police for being a ‘Trump supporter’.

Damon’s field sobriety test resulted in him posting a blood-alcohol content reading nearly four times the legal limit.

Damon was charged with driving under the influence and resisting arrest. His wife Michelle was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, and resisting arrest without violence.

The 47-year-old two-time All-Star hasn’t played in the Major Leagues since 2012. He finished his 18-year career just short of 3,000 hits, compiling 2,769 with a lifetime average of .284.
