Rob Parker: LeBron's Game Isn't 'Pretty' Enough to Be Known as a 'Scorer'

Rob Parker: “LeBron doesn’t have that jump shot. He doesn’t have that ‘move’. He fills the stat sheet, I don’t doubt that at all. Is it always pretty? Is he running over people and dunking? Yeah. Other guys have a ‘pretty’ jump shot, I think that’s why he’s not mentioned… It’s not pretty. It doesn’t matter though and he gets the job done, but when people talk about shooters and scorers it’s different… Most of the other guys have something pretty – a pretty jump shot or a pretty or patented move, and that’s what LeBron lacks.”
Chris Broussard: “He is one of the greatest ‘scorers’ ever, but I totally agree with you. LeBron doesn’t have the offensive package in terms of scoring that Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, and James Harden have… It’s like Shaq. Shaq didn’t have the most or the greatest post moves, but you couldn’t stop the DUNK… I also think it has something to do with the ‘GOAT’ debate. Michael Jordan had the prettiest and most graceful moves ever… LeBron doesn’t have the one go-to move, is not a great shooter, and is not as graceful in the air as some of these other guys. That’s why people don’t mention him among the great scorers even though he obviously is.” (Full Segment Above)

Listen to Rob Parker and Chris Broussard discuss why they don’t believe NBA media and fans alike have ever really considered LeBron James an all-time great ‘scorer’, despite LeBron ranking third in league history in points.

LeBron acknowledged a tweet earlier this week that said he has the most seasons of averaging 25+ points in a season of any other player ever, effectively mocking people who have long thought of him as a ‘pass-first’ player.

Check out the video above as Rob and Chris explain why they don’t think LeBron has ever received that ‘GOAT’ distinction when it comes to scoring points, despite his career stats saying otherwise, and why they don’t think it has anything to do with his passing prowess either.
