Don't Be Surprised If The NFL Is Involved With Alliance Of America

The NFL is finding itself in a predicament that the other major sports are not; they have competition.  Just a few months ago WWE Owner, Vince McMahon announced that he will reboot the XFL to bring a "newer" football product to compete with the NFL.  Today Charlie Ebersol, son of NBC Executive Dick Ebersol, announced that in 2019, he will start a brand new football league, the Alliance of America Football.  The season is set to kick off the day after the Super Bowl, and according to Ebersol, it will "represent the fundamental shift in the way we approach professional sports" and that it will allow "players and fans to share the success of the team".  The league has some notable NFL alumni part of it: Bill Polian, Troy Polamalu, Justin Tuck, and Hines Ward.

Steve and Jeffrey Gorman reacted to the news, saying the NFL is somehow involved with this new league. The major names attached to it all still have positive relationships with the NFL, meaning we shouldn't be surprised if Roger Goodell and the other owners are backing this too.  Listen to their full reaction above.
