The Biggest Con in All of Sports

Major League Baseball's national popularity has been dwindling for years. On the flip side, the NBA has seen it's popularity continue to rise. Most in the sports media world agree that the reason for the shift is because the NBA does a much better job than the MLB at marketing it's stars.

Rob Parker vehemently disagrees.

Rob says the NBA has benefited greatly from the presence of LeBron James, arguably the greatest and one of the most engaging superstars of all-time - regardless of sport. If the NBA's best player was a quiet superstar like Kawhi Leonard, then the NBA would struggle to market itself just the same as the MLB does with Mike Trout.
