"Get paid $300,000 a year? NO. You have the right to get a pension like a lot of other people, but you don’t deserve to get paid in perpetuity for not working."
-- Clay Travis.
Eric Dickerson sent shockwaves around the NFL this week when he made demands that Hall of Fame players get yearly $300,000 incomes and lifetime health insurance from the National Football League, or they'll threaten to boycott the annual ceremonies in Canton, OH.
Dickerson, the former four-time rushing champion, is spearheading the movement, and says the 318 current Hall of Famers are not receiving annual pensions big enough for their liking, and says the NFL would have no problem flipping the bill for annual payouts totaling $95,000,000 if every current member of the elite club in was paid $300K a year.
