The Dallas Cowboys are currently in negotiations with Dak Prescott and much of the discussion around his next contract is whether the quarterback deserves to get paid similarly to many of the other highest-paid quarterbacks around the league. As great as Prescott is at the position, people tend to believe his skill doesn't measure up to many of the other elite quarterbacks around the league. Many points have been made that Cowboys are under no obligation to give a massive contract anytime soon and can also put him under the franchise tag if they wanted to.
Chris Broussard and Rob Parker are on different sides of the argument with Rob Parker fully supporting Cowboys NOT paying Dak and while Chris Broussard agrees, he thinks you can't argue against 30 million being the going rate for quarterbacks around the league right now.
