Alexi Lalas Doesn't Think the United States Women Will Win the World Cup

Listen to former beloved United States Men’s National Team player Alexi Lalas explain to Colin Cowherd why he thinks the U.S. Women’s Team will ultimately bow out in next week's FIFA Women’s World Cup that will be played from June 7th to July 7th on Fox.

The United States won the last World Cup in 2015 and will be the heavy favorites to repeat once again as the world’s no. 1, but Lalas thinks it’s a much different team than four years ago when their DEFENSE was arguably their most lethal asset.

Lalas says the U.S. will still have the most high powered offense in the tournament, but says the absence of Hope Solo in the back, the greatest keeper in American history Lalas believes, will be a major Achilles heel for the Americans.

Check out the interview below as Lalas thinks an impending quarterfinals matchup with host country France, ranked fourth in the world, will be an extremely tough test for the Americans in Paris.
