Toronto Raptors Defeat Golden State Warriors to Win First NBA Championship

The Toronto Raptors are the 2019 NBA Champions. Pascal Siakam and Kyle Lowry scored 26 points each as the Raptors won Game Six 114-110 in Oakland to defeated the defending champion Golden State Warriors four games to two.

Kawhi Leonard finished with 22 points and hit two clutch free throws in the final second to clinch the Raptors' first NBA championship in franchise history. He was named the MVP and became the first player in NBA history to be crowned MVP for a team in both the Eastern and Western conferences. He won the award in 2014 when he was with the San Antonio Spurs.

Klay Thompson led all scorers on both teams with 30 points, but left late in the third quarter with a knee injury and didn't return. Stephen Curry scored 21 points and missed a go-ahead three-pointer in the final seconds. Draymond Green posted a triple-double for Golden State, finishing with 11 points, 19 rebounds, and 13 assists.
