OJ Simpson Trolled on Twitter After Starting New Account With Bizarre Video

Twitter had a new user register for an account on Friday, and it's safe to say, no one was expecting this.

O.J. Simpson posted his first tweet to the online social media site using the screenname @TheRealOJ32. The 22-second video, which has been viewed millions of times, showed the former football star smiling while stating that he had a "little getting even to do."

“Hey Twitter world, this is yours truly,” a smiling Simpson says in the video. “Now, coming soon to Twitter, you’ll get to read all my thoughts and opinions on just about everything. Now, there’s a lot of fake OJ accounts out there. So this one, @TheRealOJ32 is the only official one. So, this should be a lot of fun. I’ve got a little getting even to do. So God bless. Take care."

In a little under two days, OJ's account has gathered more than 480,000 followers. The @RealOJ32 account follows eight other accounts on Twitter, including the USC football account, the official Heisman Trophy Trust account, another account that appears to belong to his son, Justin, and an account that belongs to his Las Vegas-based attorney.

At first, people weren't entirely sure if the account was real or if they were being had by a joke account, but they all came with jokes at the Juice's expense.

OJ's first message to the world on Twitter apparently wasn't enough for him and the former football star posted a follow-up, wishing everyone a 'Happy Father's Day.'

"Hey Twitterworld. You know for years, people have been able to say whatever they want to say about me, with no accountability. But, now I get to challenge a lot of that BS and set the record straight. More importantly, I'll be able to talk about everything - especially sports and fantasy football and even politics. But for now, let me just say, to my fellow fathers out there, Happy Father's Day!"

The former football star has become best known for his controversial acquittal for the double-murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown-Simpson and Ron Goldman in 1995. Simpson was later held liable for their deaths in a 1997 civil trial brought by Ron Goldman's family.

Simpson recently finished a nine-year stint in a Nevada prison after he was convicted for his role in a Las Vegas robbery that involved memorabilia Simpson said belonged to him.
