Ben Maller Says the Timberwolves Need to Trade Andrew Wiggins ASAP

Ben Maller: “Andrew Wiggins is a one-trick pony and when he’s not scoring the ball he doesn’t do ANYTHING else to help you win a basketball game. If the Timberwolves new GM can find a sucker to take Wiggins then they ought to give him a statue. Wiggins doesn’t have that inner fire in him and is not someone you want in your fox hole.”

Listen to Ben Maller explain why the Minnesota Timberwolves need to dedicate their offseason to dumping 24-year-old former first overall pick Andrew Wiggins, as the once prized rookie who was involved in the Kevin Love trade to LeBron’s Cavaliers, has largely been a disappointment in the NBA.

The 2015 Rookie of the Year has averaged 19.4 points for his career, but his stats have come way down the past couple seasons after a career year in 2016/2017 when he averaged 23.6 points per game. Wiggins shot just .412 from the field last season with only 4.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

Check out the audio above as Maller says it’s time to dump one of the NBA’s most overrated assets.
