Colin Cowherd: Odell Beckham Doesn't Have Anything in Common With Tom Brady

Odell Beckham to GQ: “Race plays into everything, whether we want to believe it or not. I remember posting a video of me and Tom Brady, and I hate to even bring him in this, but he’s passionate. He cares—he wouldn’t still be playing if he didn’t care for the game the way that he did today. He throws a cup, he yells at referees, he yells at his coach. It’s because he cares that bad. He wants to win that bad. Now, because he has won six Super Bowls they validate him and say, ‘He’s won six Super Bowls.’”
Colin Cowherd: “I like you Odell, but that’s not it. You peed in the back of the end zone, you proposed to a kicking net, a week before a playoff game you made sure a picture got out of you with a bunch of guys with blunts on a boat. Odell you’re NOT Tom Brady. When Brady shows emotion in a game it is a brief and productive argument with an offensive coordinator to get them to another level. Those were outliers, the BRAND of Odell is wearing people out, being highly emotional, and you don’t know week to week what you’re going to get. He sees himself as Tom. NO YOU’RE NOT.”

Listen to Colin Cowherd comment on Odell Beckham Jr’s recent interview with GQ magazine, particular a portion of the interview where Beckham tries to paint of picture of racism in the way the media treats him and Tom Brady.

Beckham says he has the same exact fiery will to win as Brady but faces an unfair double standard where Brady is looked at as this gallant hero while Beckham is this villainous saboteur.

Check out the audio below as Colin says Odell is comparing two very different kinds of passion; one with an emotional guy (OBJ) who hurts the team with his colorful antics, and another emotional guy (Brady) who uses colorful antics as means to get more production from his own team, and who doesn’t use his emotions to torpedo his own locker room.
