Tyreek Hill: “Punching my son in his chest would probably refer to me teaching my son how to box. Because we do get boxing gloves at our house and our son loves Iron Man and Aquaman and he's like 'Daddy, Daddy, Daddy..'. Sometimes things get thrown out of context when feelings and emotions get involved."
Clay Travis: “I mean, who among us hasn’t strapped on boxing gloves and squared up in the ring with their three-year-old and pummeled them?? This is so insanely dumb that everyone in the Chiefs organization should be embarrassed for this."
Listen to Clay Travis blast Kansas City Chiefs star wideout Tyreek Hill a couple days after Hill held an incredibly bizarre press conference in which he said the audio recordings of his ex-girlfriend accusing Hill of punching their three-year-old son in the chest actually referred to them ‘play boxing’.
Hill says him and his three-year-old like to put on boxing gloves and fight each other, and said his son likes to act like he’s Iron Man or Aqua Man while fighting his father.
Hill only apologized to reporters for the brash language he used in the secret audios.
Clay says it’s incredible how Hill had over five months to come up with a reasonable defense for himself considering how he knew he was eventually going to be asked hard-hitting questions. Clay says Hill's excuse sounded insanely dumb and he's shocked that was the best Hill could come up with.
Check out the audio below as Clay says this might have been the worst public statement he’s ever heard.
