Colin Cowherd reacts to news that New York Jets quarterback, Sam Darnold will be out indefinitely with Mononucleosis.
The news came down this morning throwing an awful wrench into this Jets team and Adam Gase that seemed poised to make noise this year. Their quarterback, now in their sophomore year and Le'Veon Bell to strengthen their offense, they were filled with promise. It also throws a damper into Monday night football since we'll miss out on Darnold facing off against Baker Mayfield.
Colin Cowherd fears the worst and makes the point that while you can't freak out if your team loses in week 1, he thinks it's safe to say the entire Jets season is already over.
"The Jets season is over today at 0 and 1. First of all, their schedule is brutal, and they're going to a backup quarterback. This is a wildly dysfunctional organization to begin with. They will go 1-5 or 0-6. Cleveland's going to crush them, they'll lose at New England, they'll lose at Philly, they'll lose to Dallas, they'll lose to New England again. The Season is OVER for the Jets."
