Colin Cowherd Gives His Three Best College Football Bets For Week 5 (9/28)

Cowherd presents his three best college football bets for Week 5 (9/28) (Full Video at Bottom of Page)

In this week’s installment of Colin’s MARQUEE THREE, Colin is zoning in on #18 Virginia at #10 Notre, Northwestern at #8 Wisconsin, and #21 USC at Washington #17.

(18) Virginia at (10) Notre Dame – (Spread: ND -12.5)

“They’re giving a good Virginia team a lot of points. They’re tied for the most sacks in college football and I think the score will come down. Notre Dame played in an extremely physical and highly emotional game last week at Georgia last week. I think Notre Dame is banged up. Virginia looked like garbage last week against Old Dominion but they were looking ahead to this week. I think Notre Dame pulls back emotionally and wins, but Virginia covers.”

PICK: Notre Dame 30, Virginia 20.

Northwestern at (8) Wisconsin – (Spread: WIS -24.5)

“Northwestern is hard to figure out. They are bizarrely good on the road, 8-0 in their last 8 road conference games, and they’re also bizarrely good as a double-digit underdog. In the last 18 games they’ve been a double-digit underdog they’ve won 10 of them straight up. Northwestern is 15-2 in their last 17 conference games and is one of the best coached teams. Wisconsin is better, but because they drubbed Jim Harbaugh and Michigan on national TV I think they’re overvalued. The Badgers win but I’m taking the points.”

PICK: Wisconsin 36, Northwestern 16.

(21) USC at (17) Washington – (Spread: WASH -10.0)

“I’m picking Washington and think they win by more than 10. USC is clinging to life and they’re a mess. Don’t overvalue the Utah win, Utah is Utah. Washington is better defensively, better at quarterback, better coached, and an overall better roster. USC is a bad road team, 2-5 since the start of last year. They can’t hold on to the football – last in turnovers in the Pac-12, and they are last in turnover differential so they don’t take it away either. Washington is 16-1 in their last 17 home games, and are absolutely brilliantly coached on defense. Jacob Eason may go number one in the draft. I’ll take the Huskies to win by more than 10.”

PICK: Washington 34, USC 23.
