Clayton Kershaw Ruined His Legendary Career in Two Pitches

Jason Smith: “Tonight was the night that Clayton Kershaw had his legacy forever changed… ‘He never could get it done in the playoffs’ will now be the first line of Kershaw’s Wikipedia page.”
Jonas Knox: “This was catastrophic and two pitches completely changed the narrative on this guy’s Hall of Fame career.” (Full Audio at Bottom of Page)

Listen to Jonas Knox and Jason Smith explain why they’re worried that Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw greatly damaged his career in Wednesday night’s Game 5 Dodgers gag, that saw the Nationals storm back from a 3-1 eighth inning deficit.

Kershaw came into the game in relief with two outs in the top of the 7th and struck out Washington outfielder Adam Eaton. The next inning however, Kershaw allowed back-to-back home runs on consecutive pitches to Nationals stars Anthony Rendon and Juan Soto.

Howie Kendrick would later hit a grand slam in the top of the 10th to effectively end the 106-win Dodgers season.

Kershaw’s postseason ERA now stands at 4.43 in 158.1 innings, which is one of the most shocking and most unexplainable statistics in sports considering Kershaw has a 2.44 regular season ERA, and will go down as one of the best starting pitchers in baseball history.

Check out the audio below as Knox and Smith believe last night’s game could greatly damage the lasting legacy of Kershaw.
