Chargers Troll NFL London Truthers With Video From 'Wolf of Wall Street'

The owner of the Los Angeles Chargers, Dean Spanos, angrily rebuked an article in The Athletic that said the team could consider leaving L.A. for London.

“It's total (expletive) (expletive). We're not going anywhere,” Spanos told reporters in response to the article published on Monday.“We're playing in Los Angeles. This is our home. This is where we are planning to be for a long (expletive) time. Period.”

The Athletic suggested the NFL was exploring the possibility of placing a team in London and that Chargers officials were considering the idea. Spanos, however, quickly shot that down.

The official Twitter page for the Chargers posted a meme from the 2013 film, "The Wolf of Wall Street" backing up Spanos' expletative-loaded comments. In the clip, Leonardo DiCaprio's character tells his gathered employees that he's "not (expletive) leaving." The Show goes on. This is my home. They're going to need a (expletive) wrecking ball to take me out of here. They're gonna need to send in the National Guard and a (expletive) SWAT team, 'cause I ain't going nowhere."

The Chargers moved to Los Angeles from San Diego just before the 2017 season where they have been playing at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson. Next season, the team will play at the brand new stadium being built in Inglewood which it will share with the Los Angeles Rams.
