Rob Parker: “Colin Kaepernick SABOTAGED his own chance to get back into the NFL. I applaud Kaepernick for his cause but this didn’t make any sense to me. After what went down I wouldn’t be mad at people who just aren’t interested in the Kaepernick story anymore. I’m a huge critic of the NFL and thought they have treated this guy poorly, but I didn’t know what the hell the NFL was going to get out of reopening this ugly wound. They’re ratings are up, they’re making money, and Kaepernick was on the back-burner. There was no reason to do this and even when they DID do this, it STILL wasn’t good enough. This was like Burger King putting a sign in their window saying ‘WE INTERVIEW TUESDAYS AT 3 O’CLOCK’ and Kaepernick saying ‘NO, SATURDAY AT 4 IS BETTER FOR ME.’ It doesn’t work like that, we ALL compromise ourselves. When you work at a major company, they might do stuff that you don’t like or agree with, but you have to compromise. I hope he plays football again but after Saturday, I DO NOT, and I had very optimistic before, think that he will ever play in the NFL again. What he did Saturday will have soured people even wanting to give him an opportunity.” (Full Video Above)
Listen to Rob Parker explain why shunned former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick will ultimately regret his PR tug of war with the NFL over the weekend, that saw the polarizing personality clash with the league over a bizarre and unprecedented league sanctioned workout that never happened.
Instead, Kaepernick was unapologetically defiant in the details regarding the workout, and literally put on his own public workout at a local high school in the area his workout was originally planned at the Atlanta Falcons practice facility.
The whole charade was unheard of to begin with, as it was one of the most peculiar planned events in league history. Rob believes Kaepernick’s uncompromising rejections to the NFL’s wishes simply added to the toxicity of his reputation in the eyes of potentially inquiring owners and GM’s.
Check out the video above as Parker says the botched worked will ultimately be the final nail in Kaepernick’s NFL coffin.
