Terrell Owens Blasts Jason Garrett, Calls For His Firing as Cowboys Coach

Terrell Owens: "There are some changes that they need to make but the common denominator since I left in 2009 has been Jason Garrett. You think about the talent that’s on that roster, and although those guys need to make plays, you only take on the heartbeat of your head coach. You have guys walking by Jason Garrett; they don’t respect him. They understand that he’s not putting the players in the best position to be successful. You don’t have Amari Cooper on the football field on 4th-and-9 – one of your top players – because of your assessment?? Dude, this is not high school, this is not college. You don’t just bench a guy because a guy is playing poorly. If that’s the case, then Jerry needs to assess HIM, and take that same assessment with his coaching and get him up out of there. I’m really hoping that’s what happens here in the next couple of days. I have no good parting words for Jason Garrett. I hope Jerry boots him up out of there and lets the door hit him where the good Lord split him." (Full Rant Above)

Listen to Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Owens join The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard and Rob Parker to publicly blast Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, and call for the embattled coach’s head in Dallas.

As of Tuesday night, Garrett was still a member of the Cowboys coaching staff after the franchise came to an impasse on New Year's Eve about the fate of the league's most polarizing coach.

Owens had choice words for his former superior, who was the team’s Offensive Coordinator in Dallas for two seasons in 2007 and 2008 while Owens was still a member of the Cowboys.

Owens says not only did Garrett push to get then-head coach Wade Phillips fired, but he says that Garrett, former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, and current Cowboys tight end Jason Witten all colluded against Owens with management to get the All-Pro wide out released by the team just months away from opening up their new mannificent stadium dubbed as ‘Jerry’s World’.

Check out the scathing interview above as there is no love lost between Owens and Garrett.
