Cody Bellinger on Astros Cheating Scandal: "They Stole the Ring From Us"

After the apologies issued by several members of the Houston Astros yesterday including owner Jim Crane, Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, and others, Dodger players have come forward and spoken up on the matter.

The 2019 NL MVP Cody Bellinger wasted no time and sounded off on the apologies that the Astros issued yesterday. Here is what Bellinger had to say about it:

"I thought Manfred's punishment was weak, giving them immunity," he said. "I mean these guys were cheating for three years. I think what people don't realize is Altuve stole an MVP from [Aaron] Judge in '17. Everyone knows they stole the ring from us."
"That's just wild. And I don't know if he meant to say that or not but that's obviously not true because knowing what pitch is coming greatly impacts the game. "They're not saying that they're cheating. They never said 'No' to the buzzers. They always just said the commissioner's report. It's kind of bizarre what's been going on over there. We listened to that and the guy said it wasn't impacting the game -- are you kidding me?"

Star Cody Bellinger vented his frustration about the Houston Astros attempt to apologize for their cheating scandal and Major League Baseball's lack of discipline for the players involved in the scheme.
