Tyson Fury Says He Has Put On Weight to 'Take Deontay Wilder Out Early'

(Full Interview at Bottom of Page) Listen to undefeated boxing champion Tyson Fury join The Herd to talk about his highly anticipated February 22nd bout with fellow undefeated powerhouse fighter Deontay Wilder in what could do down as the best heavyweight matchup of the era.

The 31-year-old Fury (29-0-1, 20 KO’s) is one of the most physically intimidating fighters of the decade, standing at 6’9”, and facing off with another giant in Wilder (42-0-1, 41 KO’s) who comes in at 6’7”. Fury told Colin Cowherd that he’s coming into the fight with more mass than he had in their unforgettable December 1st, 2018 slugfest, and says he’s sacrificing mobility to be able to deliver more punishment to Wilder.

Fury says Wilder has ‘mental issues’ after he drilled Fury with two monumental knockdown blows in their previous fight, only to see Fury quickly get back to his feet, and thus miraculously kept the fight going.

Wilder notably said this week that the only way to keep Fury on the canvas was to literally nail his body to it.

Fury says Wilder still can’t get over the fact that Fury is the only man alive who has ever come back from one of Wilder’s deathblows, and that Wilder can’t live that cruel fact down that Fury was able to rise right up.

In an interview on The Herd days after the 2018 fight, Wilder told Cowherd that "God lifted Fury from the dead.”
