Clay Travis: July 4th Has the Potential to Be an Incredible Sporting Day

Clay Travis is reacting to a story from Jeff Passan, about how Major League Baseball could be back in our lives as soon as May. The plan would have all 30 teams located in the greater Phoenix area and play all games in that area without fans in attendance.

The MLB could implement a number of different changes, including a large number double headers, and 7 inning games in hopes of being able to complete a full 162 game season.

Clay argues that if this works out and is able to take place, the MLB could follow this model in Phoenix through the month of June, and if things are looking better and more back to normal in this country, July 4th could be the perfect time to play games back in team's own stadiums with maybe some limited fan interaction.

It seems there are now reasons in the sports world to be optimistic in regards to the Coronavirus shutdown, and Major League Baseball could be back sooner than some people thought possible.
