Tua Tagovailoa Posts Lowest Wonderlic Score of All 2020 QB Draft Prospects

Bob McGinn of The Athletic has reported the releases of Wonderlic scores for 2020 NFL Draft prospects at the quarterback position, with Iowa’s Nate Stanley scoring the highest, and Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa scoring the lowest.

Here are the scores of the 12 quarterback prospects who were tested.

1. Nate Stanley, Iowa: 40

2. Jake Fromm, Georgia: 35

3. Joe Burrow, LSU: 34

4. Jake Luton, Oregon State: 29

5. Jordan Love, Utah State: 27

6. Justin Herbert: Oregon: 25

7. Anthony Gordon, Washington State: 25

8. Brian Lewerke, Michigan state: 25

9. Jacob Eason, Washington: 23

10. James Morgan, Florida International: 23

11. Jalen Hurts, Oklahoma: 18

12. Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama: 13

The Wonderlic test is a generic intelligence test that has been used at the NFL Draft combine since the 1970s. Players are given 12 minutes to answer 50 questions, with the amount of correct answers representing your final score. Only one player has ever scored a perfect 50, and a 4 was the lowest score ever recorded.

2019 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson memorably scored a 13 before the 2018 NFL Draft.

Despite the low test score for Tagovailoa, the former National Championship hero is still expected to be taken in the top 5 of the 2020 Draft.
