The thing that gets Jason Smith and Mike Harmon the most about MLB's newest proposal is that everyone is acting like the sport is bankrupt and no one has any money and can't afford to have a 'lesser' year financially because they may go out of business. MLB owners want players to take 50-75% less. Players say no way they'll take a salary reduction. So how does one side come off their stance, save face and make a negotiation happen? This feels like 1994 all over again.
