Larry Scott: “We’ve Overcome the Major Obstacles…”

PAC 12 Commissioner Larry Scott joins Dan Patrick to discuss the possibility of football this fall. The Commissioner breaks down the obstacles that have been overcome and the next steps they need to take to get the student athletes back on the field. He seems optimistic and is currently recommending a return to play when he meets with the conference Presidents and Chancellors.

Dan Patrick:“Your recommendation is to play football in the fall?”

Larry Scott:“We’ve overcome the major obstacles that we had and the criteria that our medical advisors said, with the public health authority approvals. And now, our Presidents (and) Chancellors have to weigh the issues on their campuses, they’ll be the ultimate decision makers. But, in terms of the metrics and the issues we talked about in mid-August, the reasons why we weren’t going forward; we’ve made tremendous progress and have overcome those things. I’ll report to them that we’ve achieved those things and then it’s up to them to weigh it all and decide.”
