Clay Travis: Tom Brady's Mental Lapse Wouldn't Have Happened in New England

Clay Travis is reacting to what was a very competitive, yet sloppy game on Thursday Night Football. The Tampa Bay Bucs traveled to Chicago and lost to the Bears by one point on Thursday Night, and a big reason for their loss was self-inflicted wounds with penalties and mental errors throughout the game

The Bucs couldn't seem to stop from shooting themselves in the foot, as they racked up over 100 penalty yards. This is the second time this season that they have eclipsed the 100 yard mark in penalties, and it's no surprise that both instances have been in their two losses against the Saints in Week 1, and last night in Chicago.

The biggest moment came with a minute left in regulation. Tom Brady had a chance to set Tampa Bay up for a game winning field goal. Instead, Brady lost track of what down it was and threw an incompletion on what really was 4th down. That mistake ended the game and Brady was left standing on the field holding up four fingers in confusion.

Clay believes that this lack of discipline and communication would never happen when Brady was in tune with the Patriots' sideline.

What does Bill Belichick possess that Bucs head coach Bruce Arians lacks?
