Packers at Texans (SPREAD: GB -3.5)

“This is my favorite pick of the week, I like Green Bay -3.5. I like good teams who are coming off getting humiliated in national TV games. They are focused, they’ll be ticked off, and the Packers will play great this week. They have two turnovers all year, and both were against Tampa Bay’s defense. This is a really smart and clean football team. The Texans defense is HORRIFIC. They have given up more big plays than any NFL defense this year, and the average opponent's passer rating is 111 this year. Now here comes Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones, and Davante Adams ticked off and laser focused. The Packers will HAMMER the Texans, 40-23.”

Colin's pick: Green Bay -3.5

Steelers at Titans (SPREAD: TEN -2)

“I have a rule. Take a really good team getting points, and Pittsburgh is getting a couple of points. I am going to take the Steelers here to win. Tennessee has two big issues. First of all, Taylor Lewan, their left tackle is out. You do not want to be missing a Pro Bowl level left tackle against the Steelers. THAT is a problem. Secondly, the Titans defense is last in the NFL in third down defense. Why? They don’t have a pass rush. What does that mean? People extend drives. Tennessee is a really good football team, but I think they’ll meet their match. Big Ben is having an extraordinary season – his best completion percentage, his best passer rating, his best touchdown/INT ratio season. They are getting points, and the Titans are missing their best offensive lineman... The Steelers will win a good, ugly game, 28-23.”

Colin's pick: Pittsburgh +2

Panthers at Saints (SPREAD: NO -7.5)

“I’m going to take New Orleans -7.5. That’s a ‘hook’ number, and everyone usually likes the team getting 7.5, but I am going to take the Saints and here’s why. I like veteran quarterbacks and great coaches coming off a bye, and they’re 3-1 the last four years in those games. Criticize Drew Brees all you want, but he’s completing 71% over his throws – leads the NFL. Carolina’s defense has only five sacks, the fewest in the NFL. Carolina’s defense is one of the worst on third down, but this might be the key… Teddy Bridgewater was with the Saints the last couple of years, and he’s now in Carolina. The Saints have had a couple of weeks to prepare for Teddy Bridgewater, a quarterback they practiced against for the last couple years. They’re off a bye qne well-rested against a Carolina team that is getting better, but limited defensively. Take the Saints to win and cover, 30-20.”

Colin's pick: New Orleans -7.5

Seahawks at Cardinals (SPREAD: SEA -3.5)

“Seattle off a bye the last four years has been 4-0. Meanwhile, Arizona – a young and inconsistent team – is on a short week after Monday Night Football, and they’re a young team coming off a Cowboys win and everyone telling them ‘YOU DA MAN!’ Here comes Seattle, a must-win, a divisional game, off a bye. Russell Wilson has owned no team in the NFL like Arizona. He’s played them 8 times, and lost ONCE, his first career NFL start. He is 6-0-1 since, and has ROLLED this team. Jamal Adams is supposed to come back for Seattle this week. Again, it’s a short week for Arizona coming off a big emotional win beating the Cowboys on national TV. Seattle is coming off a bye, with a veteran quarterback who has owned Arizona. I’m going to take the Seahawks to stay undefeated, 34-24.”

Colin's pick: Seattle -3.5

Bears at Rams (SPREAD: LA -6)

“I’ll take the Rams -6, as the last living American who likes the Rams. Chicago is limited offensively and we thought if they get Nick Foles they will be better. The problem is Nick has had 1 or more interceptions in five straight games, which is the longest streak in the NFL. It’s not 'Jameis Winston' bad, but it’s not good. The Bears offensive is near the bottom in EVERYTHING – 27th in scoring, 28th in total yards, 28th in rushing. The Bears are a MESS, and the Rams defense is better than people think. They move Jalen Ramsey all over the field, and they’ve allowed fewer than 20 points in four games this year. I know nobody likes Jared Goff and there’s all these misgivings, but he has the highest passer rating in the NFL in the fourth quarter. I think this will be a close and ugly game. The Rams will pull away late, and cover the spread, 28-20.”

Colin's pick. Los Angeles -6
