Chris Broussard: “In the next three years of LeBron’s deal how many rings do you think they’ll get, if any?”
Rob Parker: “ZERO. It’s really hard to win. LeBron played 17 years and won 4, and now I’m supposed to believe he’s going to win three in a row, or something?? I’m not buying it. It worked out that it was a perfect storm with the shorter season, and not a lot of travel for an older guy – I’ll wait to see as the season plays out. AD has been injury-prone his whole career, A LOT of things worked out last season, and they won the championship. I’m going to say zero over the next three years. I’m looking at the ‘4 out of 17’, and I’m going to say as you get older, you don’t get better, you get WORSE. This is like the Tom Brady thing. A lot of people had them winning the Super Bowl, and I wasn’t there. Even for a star and a great player, things get harder as you get older. If I had to push my chips to the middle of the table, I would say ZERO.” (Full Segment Above)
Listen to Rob Parker and Chris Broussard discuss LeBron James’ two-year, $85 million extension that will be tacked on after this season, which will lock up LeBron with the Lakers for the next three seasons through 2023. Although the Lakers remain the betting favorites to win it all in 2021, Rob thinks LeBron will finish off these next three years with ZERO titles.
Check out the video above as Rob details why he’s not buying the 35-year-old, turning 36 later this month winning another championship after the good fortunes they got at the NBA’s Bubble with the shorter season, massive break in-between, and no travel, or fans.
