Clay Travis: Dwayne Haskins' NFL Career Could Be Over

Clay Travis: “I saw the story come through and I was like ‘THIS CAN’T BE REAL.’ There is no way possible that Dwayne Haskins, who was already in the absolute doghouse of Ron Rivera and the Washington Football Team, that after a loss in which he played poorly, he went to a strip club. This is all-time next level dumb for a starting quarterback in the NFL… They stripped his captaincy, and gave it to Chase Young, which is about as embarrassing as it can get… If you were Dwayne Haskins and were right on the edge of whether or not you were going to be able to come back and play for Washington anymore, going to a strip club in the middle of COVID has to be the absolute dumbest thing you can do. It was as if he was trying to get them to release him… This is an all-timer for stupid decisions by a quarterback in the NFL. Not only is he gonna get cut, but I’m not sure how many other teams are going to give him an opportunity to come in and play for them now. They’re going to look around and go ‘Ron Rivera is kind of a player’s coach. If you had to pick someone to play with, you would want to play for somebody like Ron Rivera.' They gave him every opportunity to prove that he was the guy and he’s failed.” (Full Audio Above)

Listen to Clay Travis discuss Dwayne Haskins’ catastrophic fall from grace, as the former record-breaking Ohio State quarterback who went 15th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft is already unemployed after the Washington Football Team finally grew weary of his poor decisions both on and off the field.

Check out the audio above as Clay details why Haskins’ decision to take pictures at a strip club last week after a loss AND during the COVID pandemic was one of the dumbest decisions he’s ever seen an athlete make, and one that could ultimately end not only his career in Washington but ruin his entire football career as well.
