Clay Travis is fired up for the AFC and NFC Championship Games. Friday morning, Clay reflects on the incredible season Tom Brady has had, just one win away from yet another Super Bowl appearance.
One of the age-old sports debates over the past decade has been, who was more responsible for the Patriots' dynasty? Was it Brady, or was it Belichick? Clay believes that question has now been answered.
Tom Brady was the main reason for New England's success. Brady has proven his worth, defying age, joining a new team in Tampa, an offseason that was certainly limited due to COVID-19 and winning in a division featuring Drew Brees and the Saints. Brady has been able to overcome and advance all the way to this Sunday's NFC Championship Game.
Clay admits, that before this year, he was in the camp of Belichick being the main reason for the decades of New England domination. Now, Clay says it's hard to make an argument for Bill Belichick. Clay believes that this season has made it clear that Tom Brady was the more crucial piece to the Patriots' dynasty.
