The Rams Are Playing Their Worst Football

After adding Von Miller and Odell Beckham Jr. to their roster, the Los Angeles Rams got rolled by the San Francisco 49ers last night. They are doing everything they can to develop a championship roster, but it won’t help if they continue to play this poorly. They have a bye next week so they have an opportunity to get Miller and Beckham better acquainted with their schemes, but then they face the Packers in Green Bay which will provide an important test of their ability to compete with the very best in the league.

Dan Patrick: “The L.A. Rams are entering a strange phase here. They’ve seized on every opportunity they can to build a championship contender, currently playing their worst football of the year. You pick up Von Miller, you pick up Odell Beckham Jr.; they had little impact on the game last night...In two weeks they go to Green Bay for a very important test, and we’re going to find out soon enough if the Rams’ trade-deadline moves pay off, if they can regain their confidence for the stretch run.”
