Why the Chiefs Must Maintain Their Reignited ‘Swagger’ Against Dallas

Chris Broussard: “I still think the jury is still out on the Kansas City Chiefs, and if they beat the Cowboys by a big score on Sunday, it would be a statement game by them. I look at the Chiefs as an elite team, but solely based on what they’ve done in the past and based on the fact that there isn’t really another juggernaut in the AFC right now... Now, if they lose big, I think the confidence people had in them going into this season will fall off significantly. After their win last week, they even admitted they ‘got their swagger back,’ which proves that their confidence was obviously shaken.”
Rob Parker: “There’s no denying that their confidence has been shaken this year after the start they had, because that group had gone through adversity they hadn’t really faced before. They got a big win last week against the Raiders, after grinding out a victory against the Packers without Aaron Rodgers. Getting a win over Dallas this weekend would be a huge boost to their confidence. This is a bigger game for Kansas City, because there’s nothing to prove for Dallas until the postseason.”

Listen to The Odd Couple’s Chris Broussard and Rob Parker discuss why the Chief’s upcoming game this Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys will be a pivotal game in their season. Kansas City enters the game on a 2-game winning streak, but struggled early on in the season. QB Patrick Mahomes and TE Travis Kelce claimed the team “got their swagger back” after last week’s big win over the Raiders, but can the Chiefs maintain that momentum against a tough Dallas Cowboys team?
