Why the Current Chiefs Roster Is the Best of the Patrick Mahomes Era

In the video above, Chris Broussard and Rob Parker react to the Kansas City Chiefs coming out on top of the Las Vegas Raiders in a dominant fashion putting their record at 9-4, continuing their winning ways at six straight. Patrick Mahomes has had a concerning season and hasn't looked particularly good against some of the league's better teams, but the roster seems to be making up for it in other places, especially the defense.

Chris Broussard believes this recent run by the Chiefs has demonstrated that Patrick Mahomes may be on the best roster of his tenure with Kansas City:

Chris Broussard: "I believe that this year's version of the Kansas City Chiefs...for all the turmoil of the beginning of the year, for all the head-scratching, for all the going back to the drawing board, I think they're much better for it. We'll see how it plays out, but I think this could end up being the best Chiefs team thus far of the Patrick Mahomes era. The defense is better than ever. The defense truly is legit. What looked like it might be a facade a month or so ago now looks for real. I think that their defense is probably better than any of the past defenses they've had with Patrick Mahomes. The offense still has a lot of work to do, but I think they're more balanced than ever."
