Despite yet another Pro Bowl followed by hoards of criticism and calls for it's abolishment all across social media, Ben Maller says that like it or not, the NFL isn't going to get rid of the Pro Bowl.
Ben Maller: "It's the Field of Dreams model. If you put it on television, they will watch. It's all about counting eyeballs. The Pro Bowl has been a toxic cocktail of watchable football poison for years. BUT, despite that not being a new revelation, it draws massive MASSIVE ratings. Better than regular season NBA, better than hockey, better than baseball. So the people that matter most are not Joe Blow. It's the TV executives that are happy."
