Jason Smith: “Zion Williamson has certainly played his last game with the Pelicans. I told you a long time ago that he is just buying time to not sign the extension and move on to a bigger market. He didn’t want to be there in the beginning, and he’s in the midst of pulling an ‘Eli Manning,’ where he refuses to play with an organization until they move him. He’s waiting for his career to begin, essentially. He’s got one more year left on his contract, before he can leave in free agency, but I think the Pelicans will cut ties with him earlier than that via trade.”
Mike Harmon: “Meanwhile in the background of all of this, people are even starting to question if New Orleans should even have a team during all of this, because this is the third star that has wanted out of the city for greener pastures: Chris Paul, Anthony Davis and new Zion Williamson.”
Jason Smith and Mike Harmon react to former NBA player J.J. Redick’s comments regarding his ex-teammate and Pelicans F Zion Williamson. Jason and Mike believe that Zion’s time is all but done in the Big Easy. Listen to the segment, and let us know your thoughts!
