On The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon, the guys put a spotlight on the 49ers and their quarterback situation by responding to reports that a Jimmy Garoppolo is not a lock. Jason is adamant that the 49ers General Manager John Lynch must trade Garoppolo so his 2021 first round draft pick on Trey Lance won't be viewed as a bust.
Jason Smith: "I'm not buying for a second that Jimmy G won't be traded. I dare them to not trade Garoppolo because then they have to admit they whiffed on Trey Lance. You can't be happy with a guy that if in year 2 he's not ready to take over as a starting quarterback. The guy was picked 3rd overall! If he's not ready by the beginning of year 2, then he is a bust..."
