LeBron James is Worth All the Drama he Brings to Your Franchise

Chris Broussard & Rob Parker react to Bill Oram's piece in the athletic that highlights the tension between LeBron James and Lakers GM Rob Pelinka over the roster moves for the team. Chris and Rob's discussion detailed many of the roster decisions for the Lakers that have blown up in their faces. And now, LeBron's recent comments make it seem like he's considering his next team. LeBron has stated he's not ruling out a return to the Cleveland Cavaliers and that he's willing to move mountains to play alongside Bronny should his son successfully make the jump to the pros.

LeBron's tenure with just about every team he's been a part of is not without drama. His first stint with the Cavaliers, he went on national TV to dramatically decide his next team. During his stint in Miami, they struggled despite all the hype and having a stacked team, securing only two championships out of his four trips to the NBA Finals. If you add on that both Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh were starting to age and deal with injuries, LeBron started to feel like it was time to jump ship. In his return to Cleveland, he delivered a championship but then suddenly, Kyrie Irving demanded to be traded. This left the roster in a mess and you could see it in the 2018 trade deadline when the roster was surgically ripped apart and rebuilt into something completely different.

Fast forward to all the drama the Lakers are dealing with now and you ask yourself if it's worth it to have LeBron James on your team. Well, in the video above Chris Broussard says it's entirely worth it.

Chris Broussard: "For all the drama, all of the scorched earth that exists when LeBron leaves your franchise, it's worth it. IT'S WORTH IT. Miami got two championships that they would not have had, had LeBron James not gone there. They can be upset about the way he left and all of that. You got two championships you would not have gotten. Cleveland, we saw it, passive-aggressiveness, running the franchise, holding them hostage with yearly contracts, all of that! You got your first championship in 52 years, football basketball, or baseball. And the Lakers...For all your history, you were a joke for the last five years before LeBron got there. For Lonzo, for Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, Kyle Kuzma, all these young guys you thought you had that were all that, you weren't about to win no championship. You got banner number 17 because of LeBron James, his great play, and him getting you Anthony Davis. So my answer is it's worth it. I get all the shrapnel that's flying all over the place. It's worth it because it's about winning championships."
