Chris Broussard: “I think this time in Philadelphia is legacy defining for James Harden. He’s already made the Top 75 NBA players of all-time and I think he’s a first ballot Hall Of Famer, but he needs to win a ring. We hear all the time about the Charles Barkley’s, and Patrick Ewing’s who are considered among the greats, but never won it all. However for Harden, I think it could be worse than being in that group. He’s played with so many greats like Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Kyrie Irving and now Embiid. All that talent and has no ring to show for it. Plus, in games where he’s had to show up, he’s put up some terrible performances. “
Rob Parker: “I agree he needs to win, plus, the way he left two of those situations was in bad taste. The behavior of how he got out of those situations is not great for his legacy. Worst case scenario for him, is if Ben Simmons wins a championship with the Nets. There aren’t that many guys, like James Harden, who have played with so many great players of that caliber and haven’t won. If he wins, all bets are off, he cements himself, and he’s good to go.”
