On Tuesday's 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe, Jonas Knox, Brady Quinn and LaVar Arrington react to reports that Vikings HC Mike Zimmer was complaining openly about QB Kirk Cousins late in the season.
Jonas Knox: "The idea that this is all on Kirk Cousins, I don't get it. There's got to be something personal between Mike Zimmer and Kirk Cousins, because on the on the field, it doesn't add up. "
Brady Quinn: "Can I go ahead and list what Cousin's had to deal with while he was there? First year in Minnesota, his offensive coordinator was John DiFilippo. Second year is Kevin Stefanski. Third year Gary Kubiak, fourth year, Klint Kubiak. He's had a different coordinator for four straight years. How's that on him?
I'm not advocating that Kirk Cousins is the best quarterback in the league, but he has been pretty darn serviceable since he got to Minnesota. I just go back to the initial point. He wasn't the problem in Minnesota. Their defense was. That's what tailed off the towards the end of Zimmer's career there."
LaVar Arrington: "And who got the credit when the defense was going really well? Mike Zimmer."
