MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred has been roundly criticized, especially by the players for his news conference announcing the lockout yesterday. But Doug Gottlieb reminds us that defending the owners is in his job description. Nothing that the owners agree to or disagree about has anything to do with Manfred; he just takes all the bullets when everybody gets upset.
Doug Gottlieb: “Every time there’s a tweet that focuses on Rob Manfred, Rob Manfred should get a bonus, should not be fired... Nothing that the owners agree to or disagree about has anything to do with Rob Manfred, but he takes all the bullets.”
