NBA Needs to Come Down Heavily on Dillon Brooks

Doug Gottlieb: "I'm not even willing to say it's dirty. What it is, is dangerous. It's unnecessarily dangerous. The possibility for injury is far greater in that sort of foul than in most any other foul in basketball. That's why it is a suspendable offense. That's why the Warriors are saying it is a dirty play. What they should say is that it is dangerous. It has no place in basketball. None. This, by the way, is why the Draymond ejection was necessary, because every foul then escalates higher and higher and higher."

Doug Gottlieb reacts to Grizzlies F Dillon Brooks' ejection in Memphis' Game 2 win over the Warriors after his early flagrant foul left Warriors G Gary Payton II with a game-ending injury. Doug explains why Brooks should see a suspension from the NBA to discourage potential retaliation from Golden State and to send the message that such dangerous plays should not take place, especially in the postseason.
