Shohei Ohtani Is More Bo Jackson Than Babe Ruth

Dan Patrick: "Shohei Othani has to stay a two-way player as long as he can. This is unique. This isn't Babe Ruth. Babe Ruth was a great pitcher, stopped pitching, and then became one of the best hitters of all time. Ohtani is sort of Bo Jackson. Jackson was a good baseball player and a good running back. Had he picked one, he probably would have been a Hall of Famer. Deion Sanders did it as well, but Bo was a better baseball player than Deion. This is something that hasn't happened, I don't know if we're going to see more of this. Shohei Ohtani has global appeal. You go out of your way to watch him."

Dan Patrick explains why Shohei Ohtani needs to remain a two-way player for the rest of his career, as opposed to dropping either hitting or pitching to be fully dominant in one area.
