Friday on 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe, the BIG TEN aims to have their media rights deal in place soon and the deal is looking like it’s going to be $1 Billion/year for the rights, which is a record $71 million/yr per school, more than the SEC. BIG 10 schools are in good position given their audience which covers 1/4 of the country’s population (Maryland-Nebraska), approximately 82.5 million viewers.

Jonas Knox: "This is not because Brady's involved with Big Noon Kickoff or because it's FOX, the way that the BIG 10 was presented this past season, it's the one time in recent memory I can recall being more excited to watch another conference than the SEC."
Brady Quinn: "The vision of what FOX did was they realized that ESPN has alienated college football fans. They've gotten so hard into the SEC, that they've essentially forgot about the rest of the power five, the rest of the FBS conferences that are out there...
But when you hear that money, you better believe that players are going to be saying, 'We're the ones doing all the work. We're the ones you to want to come watch. We want to get a piece of that."
LaVar Arrington: "There's gonna have to be a union."
