Charles Barkley is meeting with LIV Tour CEO Greg Norman, obviously to discuss acquiring his services as a broadcaster. Dan argues that Charles could command as much or more money than the golfers because his involvement would entice more viewers. And since LIV Golf is more of an exhibition than truly serious competition, it’s right up Barkley’s alley.
Dan Patrick: “I love Charles (Barkley), but Charles in a gimmicky situation works because he can have fun. I don’t want Charles at an event where it’s serious...I don’t want to hear Charles in a serious moment. I like it when it’s fun. And his might just be one of those: I can’t pass this up, why would I, $50M to do this?”
