Today on “Straight Outta Vegas with RJ Bell,” RJ has a bold prediction and best bet about the Steeler’s starting QB situation. The Steelers may have spent a first-round pick to draft hometown product Kenny Pickett, however RJ has been hearing rumblings that the rookie may not get the reigns right out of the gate.
RJ Bell: “I’m going with Pittsburgh Steelers, starting QB Week 1: Mitch Trubisky. Why? There was an insider in Pittsburgh who spoke on the radio recently saying he’s heard that Pickett is going to be ‘the 3rd QB on the depth chart for most, if not the entire year.’ The Steelers are going to take it slow with him, and knowing Mike Tomlin that’s believable. By the way, this is -220. I don’t lay the lumber often, but this is warranted. I actually think the odds are better than they’re listed.”
