Deshaun Watson Needs To Do More Than Perform Well To Restore His Name

Rob Parker: “I do believe Deshaun Watson has been damaged. There’s still a feeling I think from good honest people who look at this and say, ‘Watson wasn’t who I thought he was.’ They will never look at him the same. I’m not saying he’s guilty of any crime, but people look at you and your actions and I don’t think you can get that back!”
Chris Broussard: “Obviously, this is a huge stain on Watson’s reputation, but he has to find some way beyond just football. It starts with him being great as a player, and if he does things in the community. He should do things for women’s groups. He should be outspoken on this kind of thing. Then he can definitely restore his name.”

Today on The Odd Couple, Chris Broussard and Rob Parker react to Deshaun Watson’s 6-game suspension. Many believe this suspension was a bit lenient, and while there’s potential for an appeal for a lighter suspension, Chris and Rob discuss whether sports fans will be able to forgive Watson if he performs well moving forward.
