Rob Parker: “I got news for you... I know everybody thinks it’s going to be anybody but Aaron Rodgers to win this year’s MVP. I think he has a real shot to win his 3rd straight MVP! A lot of sports have narratives. Who did Aaron Rodgers lose this off-season? Davante Adams. Yes, he’s the best receiver in the NFL. They were 7-0 at the end of the season without Adams. When they went to the desert and beat the Arizona Cardinals there was no Adams. The numbers are the numbers, if the Packers win the division with 13-14 wins this season, puts up the numbers, makes his receivers better and doesn’t skip a beat without Adams?  Forget about it, you have to talk about him winning it again!”
TJ Houshmandzadeh: “I’ll be honest I don’t see this happening. There best bet is, can Sammy Watkins stay healthy? The focus shouldn’t be can Rodgers win three straight MVPs. My question is who can Aaron Rodgers trust this season? I’ll tell you this, they are going to regret not drafting George Pickens. You think Rodgers is going to trust Romeo Doubs, Sammy Watkins and Allen Lazard...? If one of those guys can get across 1,200 yards this season then maybe I’ll agree with you, we’ll see.”

Today on The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard and Rob Parker, TJ Houshmandzadeh filled in for Chris! Rob & TJ debated the possibility of Aaron Rodgers winning a third straight NFL MVP this season. While Rob is extremely convinced by the magic of Rodgers, TJ isn’t too confident that the Packers wide receiver core can carry him to another MVP season.
