Rob Parker: “I think the NFL kind of bent on this, because they wanted an indefinite suspension, they offered him 12 games and they negotiated down to 11, which is fine as we go forward. But I would have a problem if I’m the NFL that Deshaun Watson has still maintained his innocence, and play like the league has railroaded, or bamboozled him into this suspension, and it’s not fair. At some point, everyone deserves a second chance, but in order to get that second chance, you have to acknowledge your faults. Whether you thought so or not, is not the way it goes. It’s the other people affected.”
Fred Roggin: “I have to be really honest with you, it’s hard for me to sit and speak about the number of games somebody should be suspended, or be away from a business, because I can’t truly appreciate what the women went through. I can understand it, I can process it and look at it, but I don’t know what it’s like to go through that. I don’t know how terrifying it is, or what they were asked to do, and I think it’s unfair for us who really don’t know to debate how little, or how more he should’ve gotten.... My point is, maybe 11 games is not enough, I don’t know. Maybe a lifetime ban is enough, but again, I also don’t know.”
