Cleveland Browns embattled QB Deshaun Watson is officially suspended for 11 games this season and received a $5M fine as the discipline we have been waiting for has been finalized. Doug thinks this is a win for Deshaun considering he got less than the full season some were expecting, and he gets to return in time to face his former squad, the Houston Texans. But today’s apology sounded hollow and unremorseful so, while he may have gotten a win on the business side, public opinion is still running against him.
Doug Gottlieb: “I think Deshaun (Watson) gets the ‘W’ because they were previously willing to settle on 12 games, the league was, and he got 11. He didn’t sit the full season. He gets to play against the Texans.”
