Jon Gruden gave an apology on Tuesday for the content of the emails that eventually led to him losing his job as head coach of the Raiders. Ben Maller points out Gruden's apology won't do anything to change the minds of the higher ups or the people that have already condemned him.
Ben Maller: "The apology has already been dissected like a junior high school laboratory frog. Every man, woman, an child knows how this works. Public apologies when you're someone who's a celebrity, are almost always a bad idea and Jon Gruden is learning that lesson right now. A friendly reminder, the reason: 80% of people do not believe the apology is sincere."
