Atlanta Falcons Head Coach, Arthur Smith recently commented on the status of Marcus Mariota, and it’s clear to Doug that Smith has lost touch with his quarterback. Smith seemed oblivious to the fact that Mariota was missing time to welcome his first child into the world. Smith also seemed to have no knowledge of Mariota’s recent knee injury which may require surgery. His recent comments illustrate a serious communication issue.
Doug Gottlieb: “This one strikes me as Arthur Smith thinking he has a really good relationship with (Marcus) Mariota, and really having none, because if you really had a good relationship, it would’ve been a different discussion. He would’ve known he had a baby, he would’ve known he hurt his knee...”
